Day 13- A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough times

Music is a huge part of my life. In everything I do there is a soundtrack running through my head. I can easily recall thoughts, feelings, moments based on the song that was playing either on the radio, or in my head. Depending on my mood, I get attached to different artists for different emotions. When I'm angry and want to really feel it, I turn to my Linkin Park. When I'm feeling goofy, I will pull out the They Might Be Giants, or The Offspring. When I am angsty and having relationship trouble Dido has a few good ones, so does Alanis Morrisette, Pink, and there is always Roxette's "Listen to Your Heart".

One song in particular is a great song for a pick-me-up.

Sister Hazel's "Change Your Mind".

If I am feeling down about where I am in my life and need a little kick in the butt, this is the song I will play, many times over if needed to get my head out of the funk.

I can't pick just one! I can almost always find a Ben Folds song that expresses what I'm feeling. The songs "Glory Baby" by Watermark and "Beauty From Pain" by Superchick helped me through my miscarriages. And the entire album "Share the Well" by Caedmon's Call helps me realize how much I have and makes me want to get off my butt and help others. Plus it's just really good music--the album has a really global feel to it.

Have you ever heard the song "Just Wait" by Sister Hazel? It's a really good one, and very uplifting if you're down.
